The privacy of our visitors and members is of the utmost importance to the Small Business Benefit Association (SBBA). SBBA is committed to safeguarding the information you entrust to us. We make this Privacy Policy available to you so you will understand what information we gather from you, how we collect it, and how it may be used.

  • Notify you of current, updated or new benefits and services
  • Notify you of updates or changes to our website
  • Account set-up, activation and contact information modifications
  • Contact members for activation or marketing purposes, either by SBBA or it's Authorized Benefit Providers

Spam

Small Business Benefit Association does not intentionally send to its members unsolicited e-mail messages that could legitimately be construed as spam or junk email. SBBA's Authorized Benefit Providers are held to the same standards. Email is the primary means SBBA uses to communicate to its members.

User Information

SBBA and its content suppliers may collect, use and disclose the IP of all of our Web site's users on an aggregate basis. For the purposes of this policy aggregate basis means that we combine anonymous parts of your information with anonymous parts of the information from our other users without including any of your personally identifiable information, such as but not limited to your name and e-mail address, in the combination.

Cookies

When you log in as a member we may create a new cookie to record session information to allow you to view member area Web pages and request member benefits and services on our site.

To ensure we are publishing content customers need and want, SBBA collects aggregated site-visitation statistics using cookies. We track individuals' use of the site to improve online content distribution to personalize your online experience.

If you choose to not have your browser accept cookies from the SBBA Web site, you will be able to view the text on the screens, however you may not experience a personalized visit nor will you be able to view complete details about the benefits and services available for members only.

Verisign Certification

SBBA is a licensee of the Verisign Secure Site Program. Verisign is an independent, organization whose mission is to build trust and confidence in the Internet by promoting the use of security practices. Because SBBA wants to demonstrate its commitment to your privacy and security, we have agreed to have our security practices reviewed for compliance by Verisign. By displaying the Verisign securemark, SBBA is a complying licensee recognized by Verisign.

COPPA

Since you may not become a member of Small Business Benefit Association if you are under the age of 18, SBBA complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998.

If you inform Small Business Benefit Association that SBBA has collected or received information from a child under 18, SBBA will delete such information immediately from its databases. Membership in SBBA is not specifically directed to children under 18. SBBA will not knowingly distribute to third parties any personally identifiable information erroneously collected from children under the age of 18.

Security of Information We Receive

We will not disclose or provide your e-mail address, mailing address, name or telephone number to any entity, other than our Authorized Benefit Providers, to be used for marketing purposes. Under no circumstances will we provide your billing information, such as your credit card or checking account information, to any other party. We do not sell or provide our customer database to any entity not affiliated with SBBA as an Authorized Benefit Provider or Authorized Reseller.

We use industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving consumer data exchanged with our site. When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information we redirect visitors to a secure server. We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you.

Our web site, www.sbba.com, contains links to other sites. SBBA is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.

Policy Changes

SBBA may find it necessary or be legally obligated to update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this site. Except as otherwise required by law, modifications to this Privacy Policy will not affect the privacy of data collected by SBBA prior to the effective date of the policy change.
