SBBA founder Paul Johnston and the entire staff understands the unique challenges of starting and operating a small business. We know this first hand as we have started, owned, and worked for a number of small businesses. We've also worked for large businesses which provides additional perspective, insight, and ideas.

Paul has spent much of our career his career traveling around the United States training, advising, and interacting with thousands of small business owners. These experiences brought Paul face-to-face with the serious problems and needs small business owners struggle with. In 1997, we created SBBA to address those needs-and provide small businesses with the tools, resources, and expertise they need to be successful.

From its humble beginnings in a small home office, SBBA has grown into a thriving national organization that has helped tens of thousands of members. Today, SBBA is widely known for its practical, down-to-earth approach, a capable, intelligent team of small business experts, a willingness to listen and respond to its members, and an unrelenting passion for helping small businesses thrive and grow. We get excited about everything related to small business and we know of the many opportunities available to small business owners.
